Supa dam lake on the Kali river, Karnataka, India

A vast body of water, surrounded by a forest with lots of wild animals that can sometimes be spotted drinking, thanks to the peculiar water border, empty of vegetation.
We weren’t there early enough to see tigers or panthers but the lake itself had a very special atmosphere, we decided it could probably be… the calmest place in India. 😉

The dam that created this lake caused two Hindu temples to be submerged and can provide electricity for the whole state of Karnataka (according to our guide).
